A Fun First Step Into Soccer
The HNFC Husky Pups Program is an introductory soccer experience designed specifically for children aged 3 and under. Our goal is to provide a fun, positive, and low-pressure environment where young children can begin developing basic soccer skills while building confidence, making friends, and discovering a love for the game.
Husky Pups focuses on learning through play. Sessions are designed to keep children active and engaged while introducing soccer fundamentals in an age-appropriate way. Parent participation is encouraged, making it a wonderful opportunity for families to learn and play together.
Program Information
Program Fee: $50 per player
- 8 Pup Practices
- Husky Pups Program T-Shirt
- Age-appropriate soccer activities and instruction
- Parent participation opportunities
To help your child have the best experience possible, please bring:
- Water bottle
- Size 3 soccer ball
- Soccer cleats or tennis shoes
- Shin guards (optional)
Be sure your player wears comfortable clothing and is ready to run, play, and have fun!
Program Structure
Pup Practices
Husky Pups meets one day each week during the season for what we call Pup Practices.
Pup Practice Time: Thursdays from 6:15 PM – 7:05 PM
Pup Practice Dates: 8/13, 8/20, 8/27, 9/3, 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1
Each session includes:
First 30 Minutes
- Skill-based instruction
- Dribbling fundamentals
- Coordination and balance activities
- Basic movement and ball control
- Fun soccer-themed games
Last 20 Minutes
- Informal scrimmage play
- Small-sided activities
- Opportunity to practice newly learned skills
- Lots of fun and encouragement
No Weekend Commitment
Unlike traditional youth soccer programs, Husky Pups has no Saturday games or weekend obligations, making it an easy and flexible option for busy families.
