Ages U11 and Up

Travel soccer is a competitive soccer program where teams play against other teams from different communities. Travel soccer is more competitive than recreational soccer. Players earn their spot on the team and their playing time. Travel soccer teams may play in leagues and tournaments. Travel soccer teams may travel to other towns and states.

Season

A Travel season will last from Fall to Spring and players are required to stay throughout the entire season.

Tryouts

All players are welcome to attend try-outs, but not all will be asked to join a team. Travel tryouts take place at the beginning of each Fall season. Attendance is required to participate in the Travel program. Once on a team, players will continue to have to try-out every Fall to keep their roster spot. League scheduled tryouts will be communicated before each Fall season. In the event you are not able to attend, please reach out to [email protected].

2025-2026 Soccer Tryouts

Hamilton North FC Tryouts are designed for players that are interested in playing on a more competitive soccer team and wish to be evaluated in order to be placed on a team. The HNFC travel teams participate in the Indiana Soccer League (ISL).

2025 – 2026 Tryouts will be held at the Hamilton North FC home fields (Hamilton Heights Elementary School) on June 9th from 6pm-8pm

Please arrive 15-30 minutes before to check in (You need to complete registration online HERE)

* * * These will be closed tryouts. Parents, please do not stand next to the fields during evaluation.  * * *

Players will be evaluated for approximately 2 hours.
Players should bring a ball, shin guards, cleats, and water.
If there is inclement weather, the Tryouts will be at the same times on June 10th.

***Players will not be permitted to participate in the process wearing club apparel. ***

Travel is the most competitive level and requires a higher skill and commitment. The time commitment is not much more than recreation leagues, however. Travel players commit to a team and club for the soccer year (fall and spring). The commitment consists of 2 practices per week during the fall and spring seasons, usually 90 minutes each. There are typically 16 games per year (8 in the fall and 8 in the spring), 1/2 of those games are usually at home. Usually away games are less than an hour away. Travel players are coaches select, which means that the coach of the travel team selects which players they want to complement their existing team.

The number of teams HNFC will have in a particular age group will depend upon the number of players that register for Tryouts, the spots available, and the coaches available to form a team. HNFC call-outs are free, but you must register on our website. If you have registered your child in the past couple years for any of our leagues, then you already have an account and you can simply log in here.
